Britta Babel is a Senior Grassroots Manager for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) in the state of Minnesota. She has been with the organization since 2019 and previously worked in housing case management. Britta cares deeply about people harnessing the power of their stories and ensuring lawmakers hear from their constituents about how policies impact real lives. In 2024, she was recognized as ACS CAN’s Field Professional of the Year. Britta volunteers as a “Big” with Big Brother Big Sister Twin Cities, a community garden lead and an election judge. When Britta isn’t working, she is likely picking up another hobby she doesn’t need or daydreaming about what to make for dinner. She resides in South Minneapolis.
