In Detection, Health Equity, Prevention, Survivorship, Treatment

The Breast Cancer Education Association (BCEA) provides education about breast cancer detection, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. At local community events, through educational webinars and at an inspiring annual conference, volunteers connect those whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer with support resources and the latest information on research, treatment options, nutrition and care. Outreach and educational programs cross all boundaries and support a broad range of healing philosophies.

BCEA co-founders Lois Joseph and Ann Harris are great examples of the reasons to get involved. Ann was a wife, RN and mother of two when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 39. Ann was Lois’s nurse when she was diagnosed just three months later. In response to their own experiences as survivors, Ann and Lois created this organization to fulfill a desperate need for breast health information in a supportive and inspiring environment.
