Hello Angel Foundation supporter,

A new year brings new opportunities for us to partner with you in service to those facing cancer. We are celebrating our 20 year anniversary in 2021! Thank you so much for your advocacy and dedication over the years…and for your referrals to Angel Foundation services!

NEW PROGRAM DATABASE

We are excited to be on the cusp of a new database called HALO. This replaces the application portal you use as well as our current internal platform.

HALO will include all of our current services ~~ Emergency Financial Assistance, Financial Cancer Care & Facing Cancer Together. We anticipate a smooth transition and super efficiency!

  • Week of March 8th: We will email instructions to you for using HALO.
  • March 16th: HALO goes “live”; we will be available for questions and support as needed.
  • NOTE: As always our PDF application versions are and will be available to you as a portal alternative. We would like to transfer as many health care professionals as possible to online referrals; contact Jody now for your sign-on information. Thank you!

RESOURCES TRANSLATED TO SPANISH

We are thrilled to announce our Guidebooks for families are now available in Spanish! Please click here to view the Spanish Guidebooks. We are also in the process of Spanish translations for our grant applications and related documents. Coming soon!

EMERGENCY GRANT FUNDS

Did you know that in 2020 2,165 emergency grants were awarded for $942,500 in assistance?!

  • General Assistance and Margie & Mark’s Fund are available for cancer patients. Please refer!
  • Angel in Action funds are not available now but may return as 2021 continues. These funds were raised to support the initial impact of the coronavirus on individuals and families already dealing with cancer.
  • You may have seen 30-Days Foundation announce the Masterpiece Fund, a partnership with Angel Foundation in which 30-Days provides financial support for emergency assistance. This is not a separate fund but comes to AF to support financial assistance efforts; we are very grateful!

RESOURCES FOR FAMILIES

Together you helped us provide over 700 children, preteens and teens with an AngelPack in 2020!

  • AngelPacks are one way to support those facing a difficult diagnosis through tools to use in their home. This resource is more relevant than ever as families face the stress of cancer along with the changes COVID-19 has created in their family circumstances.
  • AngelPacks encourage healthy communication, help to minimize stress and teach coping techniques. Please contact Emily with questions or requests.

Virtual connections help us feel less isolated as we continue to deal with limitations from the coronavirus. We offer pick-up nights and Zoom calls regularly to provide support, education, fun and a sense of community. Encourage your patients to participate!

Activities are free for all; patients can contact Emily to register. Coming up…
