cancer health equity network (CHEN)

The Alliance’s Cancer Health Equity Network (CHEN) is a group of committed individuals passionate about reducing cancer disparities and advancing health equity. The purpose of CHEN is to educate and mobilize members to achieve collective impact on shared objectives.

The committee meets five times annually, three times in person and twice via webinar.

Members:
  • Participate in discussions, presentations and trainings on the causes and effective solutions for cancer disparities
  • Share information on current efforts to address cancer disparities in Minnesota
  • Identify gaps and unmet needs for underserved communities
  • Provide the Minnesota Cancer Alliance with guidance and recommendations on how to authentically engage in health equity work
Meetings focus on objectives identified by members and include facilitated group discussion. The discussions will inform the work of the CHEN members and the work of the Minnesota Cancer Alliance. A network listserv keeps information flowing between meetings.
