Brianna LongewayCommunications and Membership Committee Co-Chair; Cancer Screening Quality Improvement - Clinical Systems Specialist

    Brianna Longeway is the Clinical Systems Specialist with the Cancer Screening Quality Improvement team within the Comprehensive Cancer Control Program at the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). In this role, Brianna strives to improve screening for breast, cervical and colorectal cancers, working to reduce cancer rates in communities with the highest cancer burden in the state. Prior to joining the Comprehensive Cancer Control Program, Brianna worked in the Commercial Tobacco Prevention and Control Program at MDH as the Community Tobacco Treatment Coordinator for eight years, working on statewide cessation initiatives to support individuals trying to quit the use of commercial tobacco. Brianna graduated with her BS in Kinesiology-Clinical Movement Science from the University of Minnesota and her MPH from Des Moines University. Brianna is passionate about the work she does to help improve health outcomes for all Minnesotans by creating more equitable public health practices to reduce health disparities that many communities experience in our state. Brianna is also a mother, outdoor enthusiast, and avid traveler.
