Erin Hartung is the Director of Legal Services and ICARE Program Manager with Cancer Legal Care. In her role as Director of Legal Services, she oversees Cancer Legal Care’s work to reduce the financial toxicity of cancer by engaging the law to resolve their clients’ complex cancer-related challenges and to educate communities about the positive impact of legal services on social determinants of health. In her role as ICARE Program (Insurance Claim Advocacy and Resolution) Manager, she leads Cancer Legal Care’s efforts at ensuring that their clients’ struggles with health insurance and medical debt issues do not impede their ability to receive the medical care they need. Erin graduated with a Bachelor degree in Urban Studies-Social and Cultural Analysis from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She also graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University. Erin loves spending as much free time as possible with her husband, kids, and dogs and enjoys visiting to the North Shore.
