In Support Services
Written by Sarah Manes, MS, CCLS, Vice President of Programs and Community Relations, Angel Foundation

Angel Foundation offers immediate and longer-term financial support to struggling local, adult cancer patients. But extraordinary situations, like COVID-19, cause an even greater financial strain. This has led to a dramatic increase in the number of requests for financial assistance.

To meet this unprecedented need, we created Angel in Action, a fund to help lessen the financial impact of the pandemic. The funding will be in the form of $500 per grant and help with basic needs. We are modeling the process after our Emergency Financial Assistance program to ensure we can administer grants quickly. Any remaining funds will be used to provide ongoing financial stability for cancer patients living in or being treated in the seven county metro.

Your donations will help ensure that people get the support they need.

Since the creation of the Angel in Action Fund on March 18, we have approved 100 applications and distributed $50,000 to local patients.
