Nancy Hutchison

Dr. Hutchison is a physiatrist specializing in cancer rehabilitation. From 2005-2016, she served as Medical Director of Cancer Rehabilitation at Allina Health, a not for profit network of hospitals, clinics and health care services throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The Allina Cancer Rehabilitation program has over 100 clinicians including physicians, nurse navigators, nurse practitioners and rehabilitation therapists. Dr. Hutchison earned a B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan. She graduated first in her medical school class from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. Her internship was in Internal Medicine at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. She completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Minnesota. Under Dr. Hutchison’s leadership, the Allina cancer rehabilitation team won the 2013 Allina Award of Excellence. Dr. Hutchison has received a number of awards for her work including the 2009 Allina Hospitals and Clinics Uncommon Caring Award, the 2010 Distinguished Employee Award and the 2013 Breast Cancer Awareness Association Award. Dr. Hutchison served as the Chair of the National Lymphedema Network Medical Advisory Committee from 2010-2013. She is on the Steering Committee of the Minnesota Cancer Alliance charged with implementation of the state cancer plan. She is a certified lymphedema therapist through Klose Training and also holds certification by LANA, the Lymphology Association of North America. Dr. Hutchison is regularly named as one of the Top Doctors by Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine and Top Doctor for Women by Minnesota Monthly.
