The purpose of the Membership Committee is to engage Minnesota’s cancer community in the implementation of Cancer Plan Minnesota through recruiting, retaining, and engaging members to the Minnesota Cancer Alliance.
Identify and recruit new organizational members to the Minnesota Cancer Alliance based on current Cancer Plan Minnesota priority projects.
- Advise the nominating committee for Steering Committee recruitment
- Develop, maintain, and update annual membership process
- Promote member attendance and participation in meetings, events, committees, networks, and workgroups
- Work with the evaluation committee on the analysis of the Alliance member survey and initiate changes in response to results and member feedback
Bi-monthly meetings/conference calls will be held, with the potential for an additional meetings based on workload. Meetings will be approximately 1-2 hours, depending on the workload. Terms for committee members will last for two years.
Membership committee chair will report progress to Steering Committee chair and program staff. The chair will also prepare an annual report for the Steering Committee.
